I don't really like to talk about myself, but I guess that's why you're here. Let me wrap up some of my experience in 3 sentences:

I've successfully marketed and sold custom homes – the most expensive thing the majority of people will purchase in a lifetime.

I've successfully marketed and sold legal services – one of the most competitive and cutthroat industries for SEO and advertising.

And I've successfully marketed and sold propane – something that is exactly the same no matter who you buy it from, and simply put, not an inherently sexy product.

From award-winning creative and design work, to lead-generating strategy and data analysis of performance, my full scope of services brings added value to teams, clients, startups and businesses of any size.

What I do

Curiosity is a wonderful gift when it’s fed properly. Over the years, I’ve directed and collaborated with teams that tackle design and marketing problems of every size. Along the way, to meet the unique challenges and goals of my clients, I’ve picked up an arsenal of know-how.

Content Strategy

From researching what topics your potential clients are looking for online, to recommending how we connect your brand to pop culture, I help my clients be relevant, timely and interesting. The more content you have, the more 'hooks you have in the water' to catch leads.

Content Distribution

I work with my clients to maximize the mileage of content production, making sure that valuable content is syndicated, shared, and put in as front of as many of the right eyes as possible. This not only helps with lead generation, but also your business's online authority.

Web Design

True website design goes far beyond just making it look pretty. Down to the details of fonts and colors, your site should influence visitors into accomplishing your goal. I've received multiple awards on my web designs as recent as 2020 and 2019.

PPC / Ad Management

I have personally managed millions of dollars of ad spend, and treat your investments as if they are my own. I'll make sure that every dollar spent on advertising is stretched to the efficiency maximum and that our campaigns are reaching the perfect customer.

SEO

I make sure that my client's content and websites put their best foot forward for search engines, keeping them competitive for valuable keyword rankings.

Just like a garden, websites have to be constantly tended to if you want them to grow.

From building websites to managing an aggressive content and growth strategy, I thrive on being as involved in the behind the scenes operation as I do helping ideate and troubleshoot big tech problems.
MARKETING + SEO
Competition for Google rankings is fierce and getting more difficult by the day. I compete locally and nationally on a regular basis for in-demand keywords for my clients. With the top position getting close to 30% of the clicks, it’s no wonder why everyone wants to be there.

Ranking isn’t everything, though. It’s important to remember that being “number one” doesn’t mean anything if you’re top rank for a term nobody is actually looking for. That’s where keyword research comes in – of which I perform regularly and extensively for my clients. I find the most popular words my client’s customers are typing into their search engines, and give the right signals to Google to make the ranking magic happen.
ADVERTISING
Digital Advertising, on platforms such as Google Ads and Facebook Ads, can be a fantastic way to get leads ASAP. It works for a brand new company that is just getting started and is looking for customers, just as well as it works for an established company that is looking to keep growing.

Digital Advertising can be very costly and show little to no return if campaigns aren’t professionally created and closely managed. I specialize in creating these campaigns and helping my clients get the most out of every dollar that goes toward these platforms.

Now that the formalities are out of the way.

Who am I, really? How about some fun stuff? Micro stories. My favorite places. Things I love. Ya know, the spice of life stuff.

 

I live nestled in the hills of Hedgesville, WV – near Harpers Ferry and Martinsburg, and just 1.5 hours outside of the DC Metro area. After having traveled a large portion of the country, I am blessed to live in one of the most serene and peaceful places I know.

In 2007, I co-founded LovelyPixels, a marketing and creative studio, with my wife Jessi. LovelyPixels focuses on helping startups, non-profits and small businesses throughout West Virginia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Maryland make a big ruckus.

In addition to being Director of Marketing at LovelyPixels, I also serve as a Fractional Chief Marketing Officer for a number of medical practices around the United States.

While I’ve worked with a variety of clients in different industries, I most recently served as Director of Marketing for ThompsonGas, a national energy company. There, I managed a team of highly talented specialists and oversaw lead generation / growth strategies for 20+ brands and entities across 27 states.

When not tied to a screen, I am often found somewhere far away from screens. Kayaking. Hiking. Hunting. Shooting. Climbing. Swimming. Foraging. Gardening. Transforming the forest around my house into a magical playground for my kids. And most importantly, getting to know Jesus better, plus raising two boys and a girl!
